Natural sweet wine, dark ruby in color, authentic grape honey. It is a dense wine, loaded with pleasant varietal aromas, with nuances reminiscent of coffee, raisined fig, chocolate, cocoa, dates and, of course, the characteristic smell of the raisined grape that gives it its name. It is a true feast for the senses, fragrant and fruity, soft on the palate and not cloying.

Characteristics

  • Type: Pedro Ximénez Sweet Wine.
  • Alcohol content: 14.5%
  • Grape variety: Pedro Ximenez
  • Optimum temperature: Between 10º and 12ºC

Method of production
Pedro Ximénez wine is obtained by sunning, almost until raisining, the grape of the same name. Normally it is aged, slowly increasing its color in the boots, a color that changes from amber to jet tones. In its first phase it is aged under oxidative aging to later finish its maturation as wine in American oak casks by the exclusive system of criaderas and soleras for a minimum period of two years.
Its minimum grape sugar content is approximately 272 grams per liter.

Gastronomy
Pedro Ximénez is itself a dessert. But it can also be used for the preparation of gastronomy and confectionery. Give your dishes a touch of originality by adding a bit of this wine to your preparation or simply dress up your desserts with elegance by accompanying them with a glass of Pedro Ximénez.
