OUR HISTORY

Fourth and fifth generations of winemakers, La Primilla has specialized in the winemaking process since the end of the 19th century. Since its inception, each generation has faced different challenges from the phylloxera plague that devastated almost all of our vineyards to the modernization of machinery and the launch of a new line of products.

DENOMINACIÓN DE ORIGEN MONTILLA-MORILES

Our vineyards are located in the south of the province of Córdoba, in Spain, and are part of the Montilla-Moriles Denomination of Origin.

VINOS EN RAMA

All our wines are unrama, which means that they are not subject to stabilization. They retain their full aroma and flavor. Wines in their purest state.

LAGAR LA PRIMILLA

La Primilla is one of the few wineries that still retains the denomination of winery in its name. The architectural distribution and the charm of the property transport the visitor to the magic of the wineries of more than half a century ago.

SUBZONA DE CALIDAD SUPERIOR

The Sierra de Montilla is located in a Superior Quality Subzone consisting of albariza soils rich in calcium carbonate capable of absorbing up to 30% humidity, the microclimate and sloping terrain.
